ESTATE MANAGEMENT

The Pairc Estate extends to an area of approximately 10,840ha. In total, there are 213 crofts on the Estate, spread between 11 townships.

Crofting Administration

The Crofting Commission has moved its applications fully online and these now need to be completed via their website.

Where input on crofting matters is required from the Pairc Trust in its capacity as landlord, our Crofting Sub-Group and Estate Manager meet to discuss the specifics of each case. This group is consulted on all aspects of croft management that require attention from the Trust, including, but not limited to: the sale of feus, developments on croft land, deer & geese management, and managing utility wayleave agreements.

MUIRBURN

We remind all parties operating within the boundaries of the Pairc Estate that the Pairc Trust, other relevant landowners where applicable, and any occupiers within 1km of a proposed muirburn site must be informed no less than 7 days before any muirburn is carried out on Estate land.

 

Any muirburn must be carried out in compliance with the Muirburn Code and the regulations set out in the Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Act 2024.
