Who we Are
The Pairc Trust currently employs a full-time and two part-time member of staff, based at The Resource Centre, Kershader.
The Trust is run by a board of directors elected from and by the membership at our AGM. Our directors serve to provide a range of skills and expertise in driving the Trust towards its strategic aims, and we welcome people from all areas of the district.
Our board currently has five directors who meet monthly to discuss project updates and general estate matters. Each director also takes part in one, or more, of the following subgroups: Crofting, Projects, Property, Tourism.

STAFF
Estate Manager
Emma is our Estate Manager overseeing all aspects of crofting administration and other Estate matters. Emma works full time from the Resource Centre in Kershader.
Project Manager
Catherine is our part-time Project Manager overseeing the delivery and development of the Estate's varied portfolio of community-driven projects, including housing and renewable energy initiatives.
Communications & Administration Assistant
Luke is our part-time Administration and Communications Assistant overseeing all administration and communications for the Trust, helping the Trust keep in touch with residents in Pairc.

Chair
Angus McDowall
Angus is a crofter and has extensive experience in the construction sector. He works as Contracts Manager for MacAulay Askernish and lives in Habost.

Ken Kennedy
Ken's background is in the Maritime Industry and also has extensive experience in tourism, mainly focused in providing self-catering accommodation in Orinsay and Stornoway.
Director
Joe Wilson
Joe has a background in construction. He is retired and lives in Habost.
Director
Zsolt Szalay
Zsolt moved from Hungary to Scotland in 2011, and to the Western Isles in 2020 where he now has a croft in Gravir. Zsolt's background is in forestry and wildlife management, and he works for the Stornoway Trust as Grounds Operation Manager.
MEMBERS
Anyone can become a member of the Pairc Trust and we are especially keen to hear the views of all parts of our local community.
Members have voting rights at our public meetings, including the Annual General Meeting and the election of Directors. We will keep our members regularly updated on our plans and activities and will consult with them. It only costs £1 to join the Trust.
We have 3 categories of membership:

Ordinary Members – Residents and/or Crofters in Pairc

Associate – Non-residents or Organisations

Junior – Those aged between 12 & 15
