🚗 Driving Forward: Empowering Young People in Pairc!
Are you aged 17–30 and living in the Pairc area? The Pairc Trust are excited to announce a new opportunity to support young people in gaining essential driving qualifications through funding provided by the Youth Enablement Award. This initiative offers three fully funded lessons with the aim of helping young people access work, education, and independence.
In addition to standard car driving lessons, the scheme also covers lessons for:
🚜 Tractor licences
🚛 HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licences
🏗️ Forklift operation
🚐 Other vehicle type qualifications
By enabling funding for lessons across multiple licence categories, the scheme increases flexibility for applicants and provides support in furthering personal and professional development and ambitions.
The award is specifically designed to reduce the financial barriers that often prevent individuals from accessing driving instruction, which can limit employment opportunities, personal independence, and access to essential services. By subsidising the cost of lessons, the initiative supports young people in Pairc in gaining the necessary licences and driving skills aligned with their career or personal development goals.
To be eligible, applicants must be aged 17-30 and meet one of the following requirements:
Be ordinarily resident within the Pairc Estate.
Be a student living away from home, where your parents’ permanent residence is in the Pairc Estate.
Have an alternative demonstrable connection to Pairc, such as working or volunteering in the area, or having longstanding family ties to the Estate.
📅Applications are now open! For further information, and to apply please visit: https://www.pairctrust.co.uk/youth-enablement-award
